TONG YANG SHABU-SHABU & BARBECUE RESTAURANT: EAT and Burp to Satisfaction

2:59:00 PM

I am now into a so called "slight disturbances" in life. Thank God, I have a brother who is willing to listen and accompany me in some of my struggles.

Yesterday, we had to go out to do some personal errands and I was seriously not feeling okay... I guess my brother just felt the sadness for me--then he just asked me "ATE, KAIN TAYO NG SHABU-SHABU." I thought we will just go to the foodcourt of SM Megamall because I know, there is a shabu-shabu stall there where I used to buy my favorite siomai and shawarma. In my surprise, I just became clueless where are we going at...? Oh! so we spinned at Tong Yang Restaurant.

My eyes become "360 degrees in circumference"! and ran straight at the counter to check out how much the price is. Whoah! its P585.00 per head! Well, that I think is much cheaper than the other Eat-All-You Can restaurant that I know...

Tong Yang  is an EAT & DRINK ALL YOU CAN restaurant. You can enjoy a wide range of almost 100 kinds of food--that includes tons of beef, pork, chicken, fish, crabs, squids, shirmps, vegetables, rice, noodles, eggs, mushrooms, dimsums and many more! Refresh yourself with Tong Yang's array of drink dispensers/vendos that contain juices like: mango, pineapple, strawberry, grapes, four seasons and decaf coffee. Tong Yang has a great choices for decadent selections of desserts. They offer fresh fruits, Halo Halo (a Filipino dessert favorite) & various flavour of ice creams! For the "beer big men" the restaurant offers its customers Drink All You Can San Miguel Draft beer which also includes in the P585 package.

Go vegie if you want less calories on your plate!

I so love dimsum balls!

I marked this area in my mind and said to myself " You have to grab some of these cold stuff! DO NOT FORGET."

Four flavours of ice cream: Vanilla, Melon, Strawberry and Cheese by Big Scoop brand
The dining area can accommodate a hundred number of diners (that I guess) and you can feel the Chinese culture inside the restaurant as most of the customers are Chinese and half Chi-Noys. And its a funny thing though, I just observed and proved that Filipinos are certified food lovers because we eat a lot than the chinese people who just get and eat few.

Beware of this signage OKAY!
And so the gluttony starts....

We were asked what kind of soup we wanted. You can choose from Chicken, Spicy Sate, Sinigang soup. My brother and I chose Sinigang and Spicy Sate. The waiter will then fill up the metal bowl with the soup, the heat is adjustable to your liking and the knob is on the sides of the table. We were also served with butter, for greasing up the grill.

I got some meat and seafoods here. I also got assorted barbecues, hotdogs, crab sticks, squid, scallops, squid balls, vegetables, dimsum and kimchi.

While my brother got these light fish fillets fried with the restaurant's flavourful butter.

To add spice on what we were eating, I created this barbecue dip sauce by mixing soy sauce, yaki niku sauce, some garlic and onions finished it with squeezed calamansi juice. And, OH EGGS! I REALLY LOVE EGGS!!!

Round 2! Mushrooms, oyster meat, more fish fillets.

Round 3! I helped my brother on his turn of seafood feast. I ate squid, shrimps, mushrooms and a few veggies though. He ate clams, oysters and the remaining barbeques.  We didn't dare to try crab anymore because they have a "no leftovers" policy and my brother didn't want to pay for an extra Php 500.00 for unfinished food.

Just to follow my alcoholic pleasure, I approched the vendo beer machine for this mug of sparkling San Miguel draft.

And to topped all what we have eaten, me and my bro, shared on this cup of ice cream that I prepared. I put chocolate nuggets and nips choco bites (its my bad that I wasn't able to sprinkle the chocolates on the top of the ice cream... I forgot that it should be the other way around!)

After that major pigging out, my brother and I were almost full and I knew I wanted to have something to drink to take away the "umay and busog" factor after all the seafood I've consumed and cleanse my tongue. Due to excessive eating, I felt that my stomach will explode at any moment so I had a cup of this hot decaf coffee...

I AM SO TIRED OF EATING!!! I COULD NOT  EVEN BREATHE...
Since we were both satisfied with the food that we ate and the service being rendered to us, I decided to give a 100 bucks of tip to the waiters who attended to us. I will definitely come back soon. Two thumbs-up!!!
