Everyone loves a meatball like your life depending on it; or sometimes ever wished you’d been alive during eras of Renaissance were Italian cuisine take its dominion. However, the true origin of the meatball remains unknown. Pinpointing the exact origin of the meatball is less significant than recognizing its global popularity—that every major culture has its own variant of the meatball.
Since meatball is an exceptionally easy access, simple and affordable dish, Meatballs can be made with any kind of meat, take it ground and mixed with herbs, other flavors and extenders like bread, egg, or mashed vegetables.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, meatball making became popular to Italian-American immigrants who landed in the northeast United States. With very little money, Italian immigrants tried creative new ways to make the meatball appealing. They leaned on the marinara sauce because canned tomatoes were cheap and widely available and in order to make their meals more substantial, cooks began pairing the meatball with spaghetti, the cheapest noodle around; then that had come to the United States from Naples.
Ending on the meatball's history, well now, we can keep the balls rolling in a revolutionize twist at this new immersive dining styled experience run by the team over at The Meatball Revolution. We're not talking just your average meatball here, they call it reinvented meatballs.
