SOUTHERN SOUL: SOBREMESA BY CHEF BENJO TUASON

One would not normally think of Filipino food and Southern American cuisine as being compatible, but at Sobremesa, head chef and part owner Benjo Tuason has created the perfect pairing of the two cultures. Housed in Sapphire Bloc, Ortigas District, Sobremesa offers fusion-inspired dishes whole-heatedly created for their diners. Celebrity siblings Daniel Matsunaga and Vanessa Masunaga are also trying their luck in the food industry business joining the group of owners on this new venture.





Sobremesa, which in Spanish refers to the time after lunch or dinner spent talking to the people you shared the meal with, delivers its promise of delicious conversations as it offers a wide range of meals that will suit even the most discerning palate. 



Sobremesa is a business venture by The Menu Group (TMG) established in 2015 by a group of passionate young restaurateurs dedicated on featuring exciting cuisines which cater to diverse variety of food fanatics. TMG also owns new restaurants situated in prime spots of Ortigas and Mandaluyong: Sangkap by Chef Raymar Reyes at Portico Alveo, Sasa Asian Cuisine at Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons and Splice Events Place & Restaurant at The Portal in Greenfield District.




A must try and the latest addition to the menu is the Cuban Pork Chop with garlic mashed potato and caramelized onion. For those looking to add a little culinary adventure to their plate that is surely a winner, try for appetizer, the Cured Meats Selection which includes Chorizo Pamplona, Salchicon, Vela de Lomo, and Chorizo de Bilbao. Sobremesa is now offering a hot Unli-Steak promo (PHP 750) of the mouth-watering Australian Rib-Eye steak which diners can really savor with its traditional salt and pepper style taste which available only until supplies last.








Chef Benjo also gives a new dessert option with Lecheroon, a fusion of the all time favorites leche flan and macaroon. It's all a reflection of the Filipino-Southern American interest in marrying tastes for the ultimate sensation. 



Group bundles for 4 pax (PHP 1,600) and 8 pax (PHP 2,800) featuring Sobremesa's best-selling dishes. The novel "No Phone Challenge"  where diners are asked to lock their phones in a cage until the end of the meal in exchange for a free dessert, giving them more reason to visit and stay.



The restaurant also has its line of signature cocktails with Unlimited Patron promos from 5PM to 8PM only.
