CamSur’s maverick Governor Lray Villafuerte creates another milestone in Philippine sports history with a unique sporting event that will put Camsur and the country in the world map. Aggressively promoting sports tourism in the country and successfully staging the biggest world-class sports events including the Cobra Ironman 70.3, the Cobra CamSur International Dragonboat Festival, the CamSur Marathon, the only race in the country that has an IAAF certified race course and the only qualifier to the IAAF 2011 World Championships, and the biggest and yearly-anticipated World Wakeboard Championships, CamSur Governor Lray Villafuerte launches the Wind or No Wind Kiteboard Jam, sure to set everyone’s eyes and ears on the progressive province of CamSur yet again.

Aaron Hadlow from UK:  Aaron Hadlow started kitesurfing in 2000 and has participated in numerous windsurfing competitions around the world. He has won five consecutive Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) World Championships since 2004.

Brandon Schied from USA: With his solid grabs, tweaked out maneuvers, and a refined areal attack, he proves to be the force to be reckoned with. Brandon Schied is definitely the guy to watch out for in kiteboarding

Chris Burke from UK: Chris Burke started his kitesurfing career end of 1999 when it was still unknown to most surfers. He has been teaching kitesurfing for the last six years, specializing in intermediate and advanced tuition running clinics around the world.

Davey Blair from USA: The man behind kiting, surfing, and wakeboarding lifestyle brand, Chucktown Inc., Davey Blaine has been competing since 2003 where he won 1st in Outlaw Division, Velocity Games.

James Boulding from UK: James Boulding has come a long way from his first small power kite from his parents. Known for his “Shifty back 2 blind” and “FS indy3” moves.

Mauricio Abreu from USA: Morris, as fellow kiteboarders call him, is the “godfather and Wikipedia of kiteboarding.” One of the early icons of the sport, he has helped shape kiteboarding into what it is today. Mauricio Abreu, together with Andre Philip, designed four obstacles to create the ultimate kite park for the Wind or No Wind Kiteboard Jam in CamSur.

Sam Light from UK: Sam Light was the 2009 British Kiteboarding Champion and is currently promoting the sport. His signature moves are “Crow Mobe,” “Moby Dick,” and off-axis rotations.

Susi Mai from Dominican Republic: Originally from Germany, Susi Mai was born to a family of Windsurfers. Her parents were running a windsurfing school in Southern Italy until in 1990, when they decided to leave Europe for Cabarete, Dominican Republic for windsurfing. She started kiteboarding when her friend opened a kitebeach and gave her some lessons. Since then, she continues to compete and has won the “King of the Air” competition three times in a row.

Tom Court from UK: Tom Court has been travelling around the world to compete in PKRA World Kitesurfing tour stops with the world’s best athletes and has won several world competions.

Ruben Lenten from Holland: Ranked 3rd in PKRA in 2004, Ruben Lenten has been joining and winning competitions ever since, until he had an ankle injury last year. Aside from getting ready for Wind or No Wind Kiteboard Jam, he is also busy with “On the Loose,” a TV series on kiteboarding.
