RAOUL centers around iconic men and women with inherent style often referenced in classic cinematic moments from the 70’s and 80’s. They are contemporary narratives of Faye Dunaway in “Network”, Lauren Hutton and Richard Gere in “American Gigolo, Ali McGraw in the “Getaway”, Robert Redford in “The Way We Were”, Warren Beatty and Julie Christie in “Shampoo”, Donald Sutherland in “Don’t Look Now” or Steve McQueen in “The Thomas Crown Affair”. With the notion that the shirt is an essential item in a wardrobe, every look is designed to evoke the spirit, elegance and ease that transcend those moments. The shirt is not only reinterpreted as category in itself, but also transformed and evolved into items, such as the jumpsuit, or one-piece dress with a ‘shirt’ top derived from the shirt.
RAOUL is also proud to introduce the concept – a Capsule of Knitwear by Tom Scott for RAOUL, as part of a rotating collaborative project, where a guest creator is selected to design a category that they specialize in. For this FW2010 and next SS2011 collections, Tom Scott was chosen to design a capsule of knitwear for RAOUL men and women.

TROUSERS
Washed silk or light wool trousers are full and high-waisted, and worn coordinated with a silk or georgette full-sleeved, ruffled or tucked blouse. Washed velvet and corduroy trousers worn as suits or separates.

Reinterpretation of RAOUL classics such as the “work” shirt, striped shirts, and the tucked and collar-less dress shirt, Shirts with details such as contrasting collars and plackets, detachable bibs and contrasting print combinations. They are made in soft and relaxed materials such as cotton Chambray, washed silk, and washed silk twill.
SUITS:
Three distinct silhouettes in suiting are introduced:
Two button jacket with narrow trouser; A double breasted jacket with strong shoulders and fitted body paired with high waist baggy trousers; A more classic straight cut suit.
COATS:
Wool Felt Peacoat, Herringbone tweed or suede cropped Harrington jackets. These dryer and rugged fabrics such as flannels and tweeds contrast the washed silk Parkas. Leather and suede are not just used for outerwear, but also in combination with wool jacquard front T-shirts and wool knit sweater vests.
